Klemetsrud School
An ageing school building required replacement while a new permanent school was under development. A temporary learning environment was needed to ensure education could continue without disruption, providing modern, high-quality facilities for both students and teachers.
Algeco delivered a turnkey modular school designed to create a bright, functional and comfortable learning environment, while supporting the project’s wider sustainability objectives.
A temporary school was required to accommodate 170 students and 40 teachers ahead of the opening of the new permanent school in 2027. The solution needed to provide modern educational facilities while maintaining a safe and effective learning environment throughout the transition.
Algeco supplied a modular school comprising 100 modular units, creating 1,800 m² of educational space.
The completed facility featured bright classrooms, modern ventilation systems and specialist learning areas, including a cafeteria and dedicated woodworking rooms. Recycled modules were incorporated into the project, supporting sustainability goals while delivering a high-quality temporary learning environment.
The entire solution was delivered in four months, ensuring students and staff could continue teaching and learning with minimal disruption.
